bilde_033.jpgTO ROM OG KJØKKEN opened October 10th 2005. The restaurant is runned by three men whith deep passion for food, wine and drink. Roar Hildonen, restaurateur with 25 years experience, owning and managing many of Trondheim's most successful restaurants. Also known for holding the title of Norway and Worldmaster of cocktails.  He is the only Norwegian to ever receive the John Whyte Memorial Trophy. The other two are Alexander Skjefte, receiving a Young Somilier prize and educated somilier, and Ole-Erik Holmen Løkken, receiving the Norwegian Master cook prize in 2001.

The restaurant is focusing mainly on local produce and preparing them in a Mediterranean style. Service from the bar with a top international standard.
On our menu you will find many courses prepared from the best raw materials found around Trondheim, which is one of the largest food regions in Norway. Here you find a huge variety of fish, sea food and a countryside full of delicious local products. The area is known to be one of the best when it comes to ecological cultivation and small scale produce. 
With a little inspiration from the Mediterranean style cooking we use the unique raw materials in a new way without it loosing it's originality.

Function suite
Our function suite can seat 8 - 95 people, here dining can be combined with wine tasting, food courses and similar activities.
This can be used also for the locals to meet in the daytime or early evening, serving lunch and dinner.

 

 

Catering
We deliver a variety of catering to companies and private parties, with the possibility of hiring our chefs & waiters.

Courses
We do courses on food, wine and liquor - for smaller or larger groups, for friendly gatherings or maybe your company's customers. How about a one hour course in how to make the best aperitif before dinner, or maybe a wine tasting as your "get together"?

It is said that when a bartender knows what a guest wants to drink before he orders, there's not much more to know about him. Well, there's a lot more to learn about what is in the glass. The history of cognac, the wine grapes' perfect taste and mixing the perfect cocktail. All theory will of course be put into practise.

Outside serving
We have good space to seat 40 persons outside with heaters and awning.
